Anti-Ragging Committee
The Anti-Ragging Committee of AIIRLIVAS is constituted in accordance with the guidelines
of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and other statutory authorities to ensure a safe,
secure, and fear-free academic environment. The committee is committed to the prevention,
prohibition, and redressal of ragging in all its forms, thereby safeguarding the dignity,
rights, and well-being of students.
Objectives
The main objectives of the Anti-Ragging Committee are:
- To prevent and eliminate ragging on campus and in all associated institutional activities.
- To create awareness among students about the consequences and legal implications of ragging.
- To ensure the safety and protection of newly admitted and junior students.
- To provide a transparent and effective mechanism for reporting and redressing complaints related to ragging.
- To promote a healthy academic atmosphere based on respect and dignity.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Conducting awareness programs, orientation sessions, and campaigns on anti-ragging policies.
- Displaying anti-ragging notices, helpline numbers, and institutional guidelines prominently on campus.
- Receiving complaints through formal and confidential channels.
- Conducting prompt and impartial inquiries into reported incidents.
- Recommending strict disciplinary action against those found guilty as per institutional rules and statutory guidelines.
- Coordinating with local authorities and regulatory bodies when required.
- Ensuring confidentiality and protection for complainants and witnesses.
